As most of you know, we're continuing to make changes to the site to discontinue some older features that no longer add value, in order to make the site as streamlined and user-friendly as possible, especially for new users. We will shortly be discontinuing the "aethers" feature that let you design custom khimbits using the khimbit custom demo. There isn't really any good reason to have two separate creature demos, so we will be *moving* the bases currently in the khimbit demo into the khimera custom demo. What does this mean for your existing khimbits? Nothing. They will still exist, new khimbits just won't be able to be created via mini chrysalids anymore once the feature is discontinued. Any mini chrysalids remaining after the feature is discontinued will be able to be turned in for points in the upcycle shop. Another effort we are making to improve the site is the implementation of a new "welcome gift" feature, which will award a suite of items and trinkets to all new users when they join the site. The gift will contain things like backdrops, other equippable items, and growables. It will also contain a special gift of two custom khimera chrysalids - one Running Fennik Chrysalis and one Hunting Margay Chrysalis! These chrysalids will be account-bound and so will the customs created from them. All existing users will also receive the welcome gift package, so keep your eyes on the news for more updates on that!  We are releasing the Running Fennik and Hunting Margay bases for a LIMITED TIME ONLY to purchase via the Chrysalis Cave. We want these bases to retain value for new users, so once the initial sale is over, these bases will only be available in future via rare special events, not for general sale or via "choose any item" special deals.  To celebrate the release of these two new bases, please enjoy a new BEAD SALE with beads at 15% off! As your "bead bribery" bonus, receive a free Running Fennik or Hunting Margay chrysalis of your choice when you purchase 50 beads! We hope you will all enjoy our newest addition to the site, the Activities Page! This page is a handy place to find all your periodic activities like games, breeding, Growables, etc. all in one place! You can find the link in the main navigation menu.  We have also brought back a couple of old event favourites and turned them into Dailies! You can now get sweet, sweet revenge on Arabasti or Kai & Tai every day. All users get 3 plays a day, and upgraded users get 5 plays! You can win items or trinkets from these games... or have trash thrown at you by Arabasti!    Another new addition to the Dailies menu is the Minstrel! He's been feeling uninspired lately, and will hand out rewards of items and trinkets to those who can help him. If you really impress him, he may very rarely give out special rewards like beads, cash shop packs or even mystery chrysalids (we won't ask where he got all of these from... ^^;)!  The Activities page and the new Dailies are a permanent addition to the site, not an event! However you may see new or recurring games/features pop up on the page in future :) 8 Comments |

Make sure you read the important news post below this one if you have not already! Beads are currently on sale for 15% off! Our Bead Bribery offering for this round is, buy 25 beads and get one Winterfest Retro Pack free! Rewards stack, and there is no limit to the number of bonus packs you can receive when buying beads! But wait, there's more! For every 100 beads purchased during the event, receive a bonus Clouded Snowcat Glyph growable egg! To claim your Bead Bribery rewards, please submit a help desk report. Please submit one report only per BB event, and update it when/if you purchase more beads during the same event. You do not have to purchase all beads at the same time to qualify for the bonus items. This is to help offset the high exchange rate between USD and other currencies.  The Winterfest Retro Pack 2021 can now be found in the cash shop for 3 beads each!  Inside these packs you can find all monthly treasure packs for the months of December, January, and February! A couple of different kind of wearable wings remain in the packs, for reasons we will not be ready to reveal for a while ;) The chunky ice bracelets and delicate ice beads for HAs have been replaced by the new Icy Ocean backdrops - Glacier and Overcast.    Additionally, you will find the new Winter 2021 Treasure Pack! This marks the return of treasure packs, however we will be releasing them quarterly rather than every month. There are 12 items in the new packs, including a new growable egg to celebrate the recent fixes to the Growables/Inventory system!               The Winter 2021 packs are weighted at 50% of the Winterfest Retro Pack contents, with monthly packs making up the balance. Special items also include Amaryllis Seeds (growable) and Mystery Chrysalis Packs! Like previous monthly treasure packs, Winter 2021 packs are "multi-open" which means if you open the max number of packs at one time (12), you will receive one of each item with no repeats! If you open less than 12 packs, you won't get any repeats but there is no guarantee of which items you will receive. If you just want to take your chances with each pack, open them one at a time. NOTE: This applies ONLY to the treasure pack, not the retro pack itself! Retro packs are only openable one at a time. 9 Comments |
